“She was unstoppable not because she did not have failures or doubts, but because she continued on despite them.” – Beau Taplin.
I love this quote for so many reasons, but the main reason is because it doesn’t remove the humanity in a person. It reminds us that having failures is completely normal and that our own self doubts are the things that keep us from taking that one small step to greatness. It reminds me that those failures are there for a reason; that through them I can only progress into something better. Once you reach rock bottom you can either sit there and mope down at the bottom or you can rise from your ashes like a phoenix. You can choose to burn brighter than a star. All it takes is to acknowledge the setback but still push forward. A failure isn’t meant to be a reason to not continue it’s more like a signal to remind you that maybe the route you’re taking towards your success is the wrong one and that you should turn back around and change your course.
Life is a continuous road to a secret place which you’ll only be able to appreciate if you make the effort in getting there. As someone who tends to let life get to them I know I am in no position to say this, but it’s all worth it in the end don’t you think? I mean, I like to think of it like this; when you decide to organise and event, the event is only a success if you’ve made the effort in planning and if you keep yourself organised it definitely all works out in the end. Life is all about making decisions. It doesn’t matter if a decision you make isn’t necessarily the right one it’s still a decision you made therefore it’s your responsibility to change the way you feel about it for your own happiness.
Continuing on with life is difficult when people are constantly trying to drag you down but that’s the thing, they’re below you for a reason. If you want to be the best at what you do there are always going to be people below you so if people are trying to bring you down it’s because they want to be where you are. Which means you’re at a height they’ll never reach unless you let them.
So my dear reader will you let them drag you down or will you continue on?
