January Favourites 2017!
Today I decided to try something new, something I’ve wanted my blog to expand on for some time now but haven’t gotten the chance. One of my little goals for the year is to really try my best at keeping up with this blog and I would love for it be more about a complete lifestyle change, I want it to be about all sorts of things that interest me and I hope will interest you too.
My January favourites will be split up between different categories; beauty, lifestyle, fashion maybe even food! For this month however it mainly falls under beauty.
Recently I’ve been wearing make up more often than usual, but with that I’ve also had to start taking care of my skin. Two things I’ve been loving that i find really helps with keeping my skin healthy are as follows:
After a long day of wearing make up its very, very important to make sure you clean your face. dirty pore cause infection which leads to highly unwanted spots. I’ve been using the Neutrogena Hydro Boost facial wipes and I don’t think I’ll ever buy anything else. Firstly they smell great, secondly you really don’t need to scrub your face to get everything off. I also find that they don’t leave this burning sensation after I’ve used them and my face actually looks cleaner.
During season change i tend to have dry patches on my face this is where Aqua Cream never fails me. As soon as I see a dry patch forming i apply the cream and the patch completely clears by the next day. this month I’ve been using the tea tree oil enriched version which I find kicks the moisturising aspect up a notch. I wouldn’t use this one everyday however if I feel like having a pamper session this is the time to reach for it!
By far my favourite eyeliner will always be the Essence Long lasting eyepencil. Very pigmented, very long lasting and very cheap! Need I say more?
Along with the theme of being affordable i find the LA Girl eye shadow pallets are really great quality. They fit all the criteria of being pigmented, blendable, as well as, long lasting and affordable.
I’ve been wearing a mixture of Nyx soft matte lip creams in the shades Istanbul and Monte Carlo every weekend for since December. They are on the pricier side of drugstore make up but if you feel like splurging a bit I definitely recommend them.
As far as perfume goes, I always only wear one scent and have been for the last year which is the Yardley Lace forbidden.
Let me know if you enjoy these types of post and what else you’d like to see from me!
